Dr. Tedeschi is actively involved in teaching wilderness and environmental medicine to students and residents at NY Presbyterian and Cornell University, and serves on the education committee of the Wilderness Medical Society. Tedeschi is especially focused on the applications of wilderness medicine to international medicine and disaster response and preparedness. He served on the faculty of the first joint NY Presbyterian-Hinduja Hospital conference on Emergency Medicine in 2007 in Mumbai, and as a facilitator for EM and disaster management courses in India, Sri Lanka, and the Dominican Republic.

Tedeschi's current activities include using video documentation for the evaluation of large-scale disaster drills, and using video as a teaching and evaluation tool for emergency management and EM teaching programs. His other interests include medicine's interaction with the mass media, especially documentary film. He has contributed to the research, development and production of several documentaries.
